Clarinbridge Camogie and GAA Clubs are holding a Community Club Day, tomorrow, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at their club grounds in Clarinbridge.
This special day is a celebration of everything that makes G.A.A. and Camogie such a vital part of life in the parish. It will also mark the official launch of their joint facilities development plan and fundraising initiative - Pathway to 2030.
Pathway to 2030 is a bold and collaborative vision that reflects both clubs' commitment to delivering high=quality, equitable, and sustainable facilities that support participation , community engagement, and athletic development for all ages.
Over the next five years, they aim to raise €1.2 million through a combination of a community donation programme and sports and capital grants funding.
This investment will fund the phased development of:
A new AstroTurf training facility
A ball wall for skill development
Upgraded grass pitches
A walkway around the main pitch for community use and exercise
An expanded clubhouse with a modern gym, coffee shop, and spectator viewing area.
Multiple energy-efficiency upgrades to enhance sustainability
The plan will culminate in 2030 with the construction of a spectator stand on the main pitch - an enduring symbol of the community's dedication to sporting excellence and togetherness.
Helen Ryan and Paul D'Arcy joined John on Saturday Sport.
