A decade on from their All-Ireland success, Castlegar's camogie team are back on the national scene this Saturday (10th December) as they prepare to face Kilkenny's James Stephens in the AIB All-Ireland intermediate semi-final.
In March 2013, they beat another Kilkenny outfit, Rower Inistioge, 1-8 to 1-6 with Aislinn Connolly top scoring. Three starters from that day - Eva Concannon, Caitriona Lee and Emma Murphy - were on the field for the recent 2022 Fr. Lawless Cup victory against Roscommon's St. Dominic's.
Leading up to the game, Castlegar manager Gerry Broderick has been chatting to Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly.
Throw-in at University of Limerick Maguires Pitch, South Campus on Saturday is 1pm.
