Atlantic Masters Swim club, with co-operation of all pier users and Galway Bay Sailing Club, host the second Atlantic Lifeboat Swim this weekend, Saturday 17th July.
All proceeds from the swim go to Galway Lifeboat and Oranmore Maree Costal Search Unit. This is a great community event and we would encourage you to support the event as much as you can.
The schedule of the event is below and please be aware that the pier and slipway will be closed to traffic and boat launching for the duration of the event.
If you need to launch during this time, the closure order from Galway County Council doesn’t not include the Eastern slipway and this slipway will still be available during the event but keep in mind there will be a lot of additional people on and round the pier so if you do need to launch, please take extra care in doing do.
