Craughwell athletics facilities

Craughwell Athletics club continues their ambitious facilities development plans at their base in the village with the announcement of the next phase of their track development, the completion of a 400m track facility. 

The club will commence construction on development, 17th May and it’s hoped that it will be completed within 8 weeks.

Galway 5k series 

Week 1 of the virtual 2021 Galway 5k series concluded Tuesday night last, with the fastest times set by wheelchair athlete Shauna Bocquet of Craughwell AC, with a flying 13.43 a series record; fastest male was Ger Hartnett of Tuam AC in 16.25, and fastest female was Neasa De Burca of GCH in a time of 19.09.

The series continues for five weeks.

Galway Development squads

The 2021 Galway Athletics development squads for selected club athletes from U15 to U19 will commence activities from next weekend March 14th with the middle-distance training squad meeting.

Other event groups including Walks, Sprints, Hurdles, Throws and Jumps will take place on weekends prior to the end of May

Athletes and clubs will be notified in advance of each session with sign up details being sent to club officials
