All Ireland Senior Cup and Jimmy Bruen semi finals called off this weekend

In light of the Irish Government’s measures announced yesterday evening, the All-Ireland Semi-Finals and Finals of the AIG Senior Cup and Jimmy Bruen Shield will not take place at Donegal Golf Club this weekend. Galway Golf Club were due to defend their Senior Cup title on Saturday against Beaver Park from Belfast in the semi finals, while Ballinasloe Golf Club were in the semi final of the Jimmy Bruen against Berehaven from Cork.

The GUI’s plans for all of the All-Ireland competitions are under review as of now, and further updates will be given in the coming days. Joe Lyons from the Galway Golf Club Senior Cup team says the decision is understandable...

Meanwhile Ronan Mullarney from Galway Golf Club is well placed heading into the final round of the latest Q School event on the Europro Tour in Oxford. Mullarney is 8 under par after his second round, four shots off the lead in a tie for fifth with the final round down for decision tomorrow.
