Bhí ceiliúradh ann i gcontae Mhaigh Eo freisin nuair a bronnadh bonn cré-umha ar an gclub, Peil na mBan Bhéal Átha na Muice/Chill Lasrach as an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn sa chlub.
Deir Caitríona Nic Seoin, Bainisteoir Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha, go bhfuil fás leanúnach tagtha ar an scéim le blianta beaga anuas, agus go bhfuil bronnadh na bliana seo ar an cheann is mó a d'eagraigh siad go dtí seo.
“Baineann foireann Ghlór na nGael sult as moltóireacht na mbonn gach uile bliain. Feicimid obair den chéad scoth ag dul ar aghaidh i gclubanna fud fad na tíre le spás don Ghaeilge a chinntiú ina gcuid cumainn. Tugann Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha teimpléad dóibh leis an obair seo a dhéanamh, agus aitheantas dóibh as an méid a bhaineann siad amach. Tá rath na scéime seo ag brath go hiomlán ar an chomhpháirtíocht sin idir na clubanna, Glór na nGael agus Páirc an Chrócaigh agus táimid iontach buíoch lenár gcairde sa CLG as an chomhpháirtíocht leanúnach linn, agus as an obair a dhéanann siad féin ar an talamh leis na clubanna. Tá tionchar na comhpháirtíochta seo le feiceáil san fhás suntasach atá tagtha ar an méid bonn a bhronn muid i mbliana.”
Ag trácht dó ar an bhFondúireacht Dúirt Iarlaith Ó Broin, Uachtarán CLG:
“Is cuid lárnach í an Ghaeilge de Chumann Lúthchleas Gael agus is scéim iontach í an fhondúireacht leis an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn ann. Cúis mhór áthais dom go bhfuil an scéim seo ag gabhháil ó neart go neart, bliain i ndiaidh bliana. Gabhaim buíochas mór lenár bpáirtnéirí sa scéim seo, Glór na nGael, a oibríonn go dian dícheallach ar an scéim ó cheann ceann na bliana.
“Ba mhaith liom comhghairdeas a dhéanamh leis na clubanna uilig a bheidh ag fáil boinn de chuid Fhondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha i mbliana. Déanaim comhghairdeas ach go háirithe leis na ceithre chlub a mbeidh boinn óir á mbronnadh orthu. Tá éacht déanta agaibh uilig.”
Bhí ionadaithe ó na clubanna i láthair i bPáirc an Chrócaigh chun glacadh lena ngradam le bród. Is léiriú é seo ar a dtiomantas chun an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn laistigh dá gclubanna féin agus ina bpobail.
Is scéim chomhpháirtíochta í Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha idir Glór na nGael agus an CLG. Tá an comhpháirtíocht tiomanta do láithreacht agus úsáid na Gaeilge a mhéadú i gclubanna CLG ar fud na tíre. Is fianaise iad na boinn seo a bronnadh ar iarrachtaí leanúnacha na gclubanna chun an Ghaeilge a chomhtháthú ina ngníomhaíochtaí agus chun a fás a chothú i measc a mbaill agus a bpobail.
Ní hamháin go n-aithníonn an ócáid seo éachtaí aonair na gclubanna, ach neartaíonn sé freisin an tábhacht a bhaineann leis an Ghaeilge a chothú agus a chur chun cinn tríd an spórt.
