Galway United travel to take on Airtricity League First Division leaders Cabinteely this Friday (9th April) after suffering their first defeat of the season.

Last weekend’s shock 3-1 defeat to Athlone Town leaves the Tribesmen second from bottom and five points behind their Dublin opponents with maximum points.

Wilson Waweru got a last consolation for Galway but the concession of three early goals ensured they left the midlands pointless and without a win in two outings.

Galway Bay FM’s Jonathan Higgins caught up with manager John Caulfield afterwards but first, here is his match report.

Kick-off between Cabinteely and Galway United next Friday is 7.45pm.
