They also look at Ireland's triple lock system on troop deployment overseas - which the Government is looking to scrap, a move not universally popular.
Saorise Ruane, her mum Roseanna and Colm Kennelly of Galway Sick Kids join John in studio to talk about "Sing for Saoírse", a touching song aimed at raising funds for the Galway Sick Kids Foundation.
Fr. Brendan Hoban is in studio to chat about his new book - Holding Out for a Hero, The Long Wait for Pope Francis.
