Senior, Intermediate and Primary Junior Football Championship Draws Made for 2024

The Bon Secours Galway senior football club championship draw has been made, as well as the Peter Curran Electric Ltd intermediate championship and the OCC Construction Primary Junior championship.

Defending champions Corofin have been drawn in Group 3 with Oughterard, Tuam Stars and Claregalway.

2022 winners Maigh Cuilinn head Group 2 with Dunmore MacHales, St. James’ and last year’s intermediate victors Monivea/Abbey.

Mountbellew/Moylough were Frank Fox Cup winners in 2021 and they are joined by 2022 runners-up Salthill/Knocknacarra, Caherlistrane and Naomh Anna Leitir Móir.

Group 4 includes last year’s semi-finalists Milltown, Killannin, Annaghdown and Barna.

In the intermediate championship, 2023 junior champions Menlough are in Group 3 with Oranmore/Maree, Glenamaddy and last year’s relegated team from senior St. Michael’s.

An Spidéal also dropped from the top flight and they are with St. Gabriels’, Corofin and Williamstown in Group 2.

Last year’s runners-up Kilconly head Group 1 with Oileáin Árann, St. Brendan’s and Clifden.

And Group 4 contains Cortoon Shamrocks, Kilkerrin/Clonberne, Caltra and Michael Breathnach.

Before the draw took place, Galway Bay FM’s Ollie Turner, Kevin Dwyer and Jonathan Higgins joined George McDonagh on ‘Over The Line’ to look back on Galway’s draw against Armagh.

And the lads stayed with George to discuss the three draws that took place.

‘Over The Line’ with Galway Bay FM’s George McDonagh broadcasts every Monday evening from 8pm on Galway Bay FM.
