MEP candidate says monthly radio show could rebuild public trust in workings of EU parliament

A special one-hour programme once a month on what's happening in Europe could help restore public trust.

That's according to candidate for this region, Ciaran Mullooly.

He says a portion of the license fee should be ringfenced to ensure MEPs can keep their constituents up to date on developments.

Ciaran Mullooly says during his canvass, a common complaint was that constituents hear nothing from their MEP between election cycles.
