Galway City East candidate demands joined up thinking on Housing and Planning policy

Galway City East candidate Shane Forde has demanded that the new CEO of Galway City Council, Leonard Cleary take a hands on approach to housing and planning policy.

The Fine Gael candidate says joined-up thinking is needed to give large housing planning applications a chance at success.

Mr Forde says when housing applications are refused they deny the opportunity to provide new homes for first time buyers.
