Ireland Rugby Legend Ronan O’Gara chatted to Galway Bay FM’s William Davies about the upcoming Six Nations and the clash between Ireland and France.

Leading up to the game, William set the scene for the game in Murty Rabbitts and was joined by Kieran Hanley and Sinéad Halligan.

We turned our attention then to Galway against Roscommon in the National Football League.  Cian O’Connell from gaa.ie joined Galway Bay FM’s Darren Kelly to look ahead to the game.  Throw-in at Dr. Hyde Park on Sunday is 2pm and we’ll have LIVE coverage here on Galway Bay FM.

After the 8pm news, Galway Bay FM’s Sean Walsh, Niall Canavan and Cyril Donnellan got together for their latest edition of ‘Hurling Chat.’  They looked ahead to Galway vs Westmeath in the National League and previewed what to expect in the competition.  Throw-in at Pearse Stadium on Saturday is 2pm and we’ll have LIVE coverage here on Galway Bay FM.

Presentation College Athenry defend their Connacht PPS Senior A hurling title against St. Raphael’s Loughrea this weekend.  Throw-in at Duggan Park, Ballinasloe on Sunday is 12pm and we’ll have full online coverage on our website galwaybayfm.ie.

Galway Bay FM’s Ollie Turner spoke to both camps and first chatted to Presentation Athenry’s Cathal Moore.

Ollie then got the thoughts of St. Raphael’s Loughrea’s Francis Forde.

Ballinasloe battle Birr in the Leinster Junior B Hurling Final on Saturday in Killeedy, Co. Limerick at 2.30pm.  Ballinasloe’s manager Derek Frehill came on the show to chat to Darren.

After the 9pm news, our attention turned to the Corrib Oil Galway International Rally which takes place this weekend.  Our coverage starting 10am Saturday morning and spanning two days is brought to you by Hogan Motors.

And we weren’t finished yet.  Ireland beat France 38-17 in the Six Nations, a record away win against the French with five tries.  Even though William was keeping us updated during the show, we came back after the 10pm news and headed back to Murty Rabbitts to join himself and Sinéad Halligan to reflect on a memorable night for Irish rugby.

Finally, just as we were about to wrap up, the Galway senior football team to play Roscommon was announced.  Galway Bay FM’s Jonathan Higgins joined Darren to look at the selection.  Throw-in at Dr. Hyde Park on Sunday is 2pm and we’ll have LIVE coverage here on Galway Bay FM.
