SpaceX is getting ready to send astronauts back into space, this evening May 30th at 3:22 pm ET. The original launch time, May 27 at 4:33 pm ET, was postponed due to weather conditions.
The launch will mark the first time in almost ten years that a space shuttle with astronauts has been launched from the US. The rocket with two astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley on board will launch at 8:22 pm Irish time. All will depend on the weather in Florida but hopefully, if skies stay clear and all goes to plan you should be able to see the craft under the moon in the south-west about 10-15 minutes later as it enters space.
The mission, known as Demo-2, will be a demonstration mission to show SpaceX's ability to transport astronauts to the space station and back safely.
It will also be the first time in history a private company has attempted to send humans into space.
