The evening pedestrianisation of several streets in Galway city will return next month.
From mid-May, streets across Galway’s Westend will be closed to traffic from 6pm to 2am Monday to Saturday, and from 3pm to 2am on Sunday.

The changes, which have been in place since an initial pilot scheme in 2019, will continue to facilitate outdoor dining this summer until late September
It's part of a scheme to promote Galway’s night-time economy and encourage locals and tourists to dine outside.
