Hundreds of students have walked out of lecture halls at University of Galway in protest of Government inaction on the third level crisis.
They assembled outside the Library, where a major rally was held - with a coffin on display proclaiming the death of the student experience.
Some of the major issues touched on by speakers were the crippling lack of accommodation, student fees, and an overall bleak future for current students.
The action is part of a series of national protests taking place today, organised by the Union of Students in Ireland.
This student at University of Galway says the lack of accommodation is causing so much stress for so many students.
