Galway Bay fm newsroom - Young local farmer, Michael Gilmore, has been left shocked after his "pride and joy" livestock was stolen in Corrandulla.
Around 30 birds were taken, including high quality turkeys, ducks and hens, and Michael says the value of the theft is up to €10,000.
Michael, a student at Coláiste Bhaile Chláir, also grow pumpkins on the land at Bunatubber, and allows people to visit the farm for a small fee, to help fund his farming.
The theft took place in the early hours of Friday, and anyone with information is asked to contact Tuam Gardai on 093 70840.
Speaking to Keith Finnegan, Michael says if he builds up a flock again, it's likely the thieves will return.
