Works underway to upgrade facilities at UHG emergency department to tackle Covid-19 cases

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Works are underway to upgrade facilities at the emergency department at UHG to help manage suspected cases of Covid-19 presenting at the unit.

The project involves the creation of additional waiting and triage facilities at the front of the ED.

In a statement, Saolta says the works are being undertaken to help the hospital manage the likely increase in suspected cases of Covid-19 over the coming days and weeks.
