Works on Tuam Road to put an end to frequent water supply issues in Athenry

Works have begun on replacing the old water mains along the Tuam Road in Athenry.

Irish Water hopes the works will put an end to frequent bursts on the Tuam Road from this summer on.

The project will see the replacement of around 460m of old water mains, which will address water pressure, supply and leakage issues.

The works will also involve laying new water service connections as well as the replacement of old connections.
