Galway Bay fm newsroom - The woman rescued off the west coast during the bid to locate a rescue helicopter which went missing in the early hours of this morning has died in hospital.
Captain Dara Fitzpatrick was the only member of a crew of four to be recovered from the sea so far.
Dara was the most senior pilot with CHC, who were contracted to operate helicopter Rescue 116 when it went down last night

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny who is on a visit to the United States is being briefed on the mission underway on the west coast to locate the crew of a rescue helicopter which went missing in the early hours of this morning
In a statement he says his thoughts are with the families of the crew and the emergency services working in the area.
