West of Ireland road safety expert concerned over dangerous Snapchat challenge

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A leading West of Ireland road safety expert is warning of a new dangerous Snapchat challenge emerging among young people.

It's after police in the UK reported that teenagers have been hanging off bridges over motorways, and sending Snaps to their friends.

There's major concern that someone will be killed or seriously injured if the challenge spreads to Ireland, as many social media trends tend to do.

Speaking to Keith Finnegan, road safety officer with Mayo County Council Noel Gibbons said the activity is highly dangerous, and 'not cool.'
