Water restrictions to be introduced in Inis Oirr from tonight

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Water Restrictions are to be introduced in Inis Oirr from tonight.

The restrictions will be in place nightly from 11PM until 7AM until further notice.

In a statement, Uisce Éireann and Galway County Council say the restrictions are essential to maintain reservoir levels on the island.

They add it’s also to ensure a continuous daily water supply is available for residents and businesses on Inis Oírr.
