Vintners chief says Galway publicans have nothing to fear from arrival of Wetherspoons

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The head of the Vintners' Federation of Ireland says Galway publicans have nothing to worry about with the arrival of British pub chain, Wetherspoons.

It's been confirmed JD Wetherspoons will be taking over Carbon Nightclub on Eglinton Street next month.

Wetherspoons plans to convert the premises into a large-scale pub and first-floor beer garden.

This has sparked concern that it will take business away from local publicans.
