Galway Bay fm newsroom - A campaign group which claims that over 350 people die needlessly on hospital waiting lists each year will host a vigil at UHG this evening.
The 'Still Waiting Campaign' is organising vigils at hospitals across the country as they call for a massive investment programme to prioritise prevention over cure.
The UHG event is bring run by the 'Still Waiting Galway' campaign, which is advocating a state-run home help service and larger capacity of transition beds in community hospitals.
It takes place at the hospital at 5 this evening.
