Upgrade for parent room at UHG Neonatal unit

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Neonatal unit at UHG has upgraded a room used by parents travelling long distances to visit babies in intensive care.

The parent room has now been renovated with the assistance of local businesses.

The unit at UHG cares for premature babies across the north-west region, including as far away as Donegal and the midlands.

The parent room often acts as a stepping stone, with parents able to spend a night with their child before returning home for good.
