Up to 30 Galway ambulance staff strike over union recognition

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Up to 30 Galway ambulance workers have begun picketing outside University Hospital Galway over union recognition.

The workers are members of the Psychiatric Nurses Association but say the HSE won't acknowledge their membership of this union for negotiations.

A total of 500 ambulance workers are engaging in similar industrial action at locations across the country.
