Galway Bay fm newsroom - University of Galway has risen in the latest set of world university rankings.

It has now climbed into the 301-350 bracket, while last year it was placed within the 351-400 section.
Meanwhile, Trinity College Dublin has slipped 16 places, and is now ranked 161st.

The rankings take into account areas such as research, student-teacher ratio and the rating of the college's departments.
