University of Galway ranked 34th in the world for sustainability

Galway Bay FM Newsroom- The University of Galway has been ranked 34th in the world for sustainability, up 13 places on last year

This also means it's the number one university in Ireland for sustainable development for a second year in a row.

The Times Higher Education or T-H-E Impact Rankings recognise universities for their social and economic impact based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

University President Ciarán Ó hÓgartaigh says its a combined effort of staff in their day to day operations and in their research
