University of Galway launch Race Equality Framework and Action Plan

University of Galway has launched its first Race Equality Framework and Action Plan to improve equality, diversity and inclusion on its campus.

UG’s Action Plan will focus on key points of leadership, recruitment and progression. monitoring and reporting, communications and culture and scholarships.

Actions also include enhanced supports for international and ethnic minority students and strengthening awareness of anti-racism, race equality and human rights.

Dr Helen Maher, Vice President for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion says the plan took student feedback into account:
