Galway Bay fm newsroom - University Hospital Galway is the third most overcrowded hospital in the country today.
Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there are currently 36 admitted patients on trolleys at the facility.
The most overcrowded hospital nationwide is University Hospital Limerick where 69 people are waiting, followed by Cork University Hospital at 37.
Overall, 478 patients around the country are on trolleys in A&Es today awaiting admission.
