UHG second most overcrowded nationwide today

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The emergency department at University Hospital Galway is the second most overcrowded nationwide today.

41 patients are waiting on trolleys or in wards at the University Road facility.

It's been a difficult week for the hospital as yesterday, it was the most overcrowded in the country and on Monday and Tuesday, it was the second most overcrowded hospital.

Cork University Hospital has the most patients waiting on trolleys today at 44.

Nationally, 400 admitted patients are waiting for beds.
