UHG second most overcrowded hospital today

There are 46 patients on trolleys at University Hospital Galway today, which makes it the joint second most overcrowded nationally

That’s according to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

UHG and Cork University Hospital are below University Hospital Limerick where 63 people are awaiting beds

Nationally, 572 patients are on trolleys today across the country awaiting admission
