University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected with 65 people awaiting beds, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
At Cork University Hospital 50 people are waiting on trolleys in the A&E, or along wards.
Figures from the INMO show that nationwide, 592 patients are awaiting admission at Irish hospitals today.
