41 patients are waiting on trolleys or in wards at the University Road facility.

University Hospital Limerick is the second most overcrowded with 39 waiting.

This is followed by Cork University Hospital with 37.

429 patients are waiting in emergency departments nationwide.

UHG was the second most overcrowded nationwide on Monday and Tuesday of this week.
