UHG most overcrowded hospital nationwide today

Galway Bay fm newsroom - UHG is the most overcrowded hospital nationwide today.

54 patients are waiting at the city acute hospital, with 48 at the emergency department and six on wards elsewhere.

Letterkenny University Hospital, also in the Saolta Group, is the next most overcrowded with 48 waiting.

According to the latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, there are 373 patients waiting in emergency departments nationwide, while 76 are in wards elsewhere.
