Galway Bay fm newsroom- University Hospital Galway was the third worst hit hospital in the country last month for the number of people who had to wait on trolleys.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation national figures for March are up 14 per cent on February.
University Hospital Limerick was the worst affected in the country, with 1,054 people waiting on a bed, while 722 people at UHG waited on trolley or along wards.
