University Hospital Limerick had 1857 patients on trolleys, Cork University Hospital had 1310 while UHG had 896

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation wants the HSE to take immediate action to tackle overcrowding.

11-thousand 856 people, including 300 children, were on trolleys in Irish hospitals last month.

The INMO says unless overcrowding is immediately addressed, hospitals could be in for a "chaotic winter".
