Galway Bay fm newsroom - There are 37 patients on trolleys at University Hospital Galway today – the second highest figure nationwide.
That’s according to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation
It's the second time in a three day period that UHG has come in at second most overcrowded hospital in the country.
They show the figures for UHG are second to University Hospital Limerick where 61 people are waiting.
Nationally, 447 patients are on trolleys in A&Es or wards today awaiting admission.
