UHG has second highest number of Covid-19 patients nationwide today

Galway Bay fm newsroom - There's been an increase in the number of Covid-19 patients at UHG over the past 24 hours.

There are now 28 patients at the city hospital - an increase of 3 patients, and the second highest figure nationwide today.

There are 3 patients with the virus in ICU - that's a reduction of 2 patients since yesterday.

Over the past two weeks, UHG has consistently had one of the highest number of Covid-19 patients nationwide.

Meanwhile, there's a single Covid-19 patient at Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe today, with no virus patients in the ICU.

Nationally, 335 patients are in hospital with the virus - a drop of 49 in 48 hours - with 56 people being treated in intensive care.
