UHG has highest number of patients on trolleys this afternoon

Galway Bay fm newsroom - UHG has the highest number of patients waiting on trolleys this afternoon.

There are currently 54 patients awaiting a bed at the city hospital - followed by Letterkenny University Hospital and University Hospital Limerick, both at 50.

Meanwhile, there are 19 patients on trolleys at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.

Nationally, 499 admitted hospital patients are waiting on trolleys today, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
