Údarás na Gaeltachta has been appointed lead partner on a new EU-funded project aimed at building resilience in the experiential tourism sector through innovation in digital and green practices (see www.st3er.eu).
It is hoped to issue the first of two funding calls to tourism SMEs in the Gaeltacht areas of the country in the coming weeks. Successful applicant businesses will be provided with a number of supports, including financial assistance as well as 30 hours of mentoring services each, to help them to deliver a practical and innovative intervention to address a digital and / or green challenge that they have identified within their business.
To this end, Údarás na Gaeltachta is now forming a pool of mentors who have appropriate experience and qualifications to assist these tourism SMEs with their innovative projects.
