Galway Bay fm newsroom - Almost two thousand homes in the city are without power this morning.
It's due to a fault which occurred shortly before 9 - and is primarily affecting the Headford Road area.
ESB crews are currently working to restore a service - and it's expected power will be fully restored within the hour.
