Galway Bay fm newsroom - Transport Infrastructure Ireland has allocated 400 thousand euro for 16 road projects in the county.
The additional funding will be used for footpath repairs and drainage works on national routes across Galway.
Road pavement repairs will be carried out on the N17 at Milltown, the N59 at Moycullen and Clifden, the N65 at Gortmadden and the N83 at Parkmore.
These will total 175 thousand euro.
Footpath repairs will be carried out on the N63 at Mountbellew, the N59 at Roscahill and the N67 from Dunquire Castle to Kinvara village.
These works will total 82 thousand euro.
80 thousand euro has been allocated for drainage upgrades.
These works will be carried out on the N67 at Clarinbridge village, the N83 from Parkmore to Claregalway and the N59 from Moycullen to Oughterard.
50 thousand euro has been sanctioned for new footpaths on the N59 in Leenane.
