Galway Bay fm newsroom - Three quarters of a million euro has been allocated for diagnostic services at Tuam Primary Care Centre.
Galway East T.D Seán Canney, says the additional funding will provide for x-ray and ultrasound equipment as well as staffing such as a radiographer, ultra-sonographer and clerical officer.
According to Deputy Canney the 14 million euro facility will be able to perform 200 x-rays and 60 ultrasounds each week, which will take pressure off the A&E at UHG.
