Thousands of homes and businesses without power in city

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Thousands of homes and businesses in the city are without power following a major fault.

The outage is due to a fault at a substation in the Ballybane Industrial Estate.

The ESB says it expects service to be restored by 11.15.

Meanwhile, power outages are also affecting around two hundred properties in the Doughiska area, with power there to be restored by 2 this afternoon.
