Galway Bay fm newsroom - Thousands of householders and businesses are without water today due to three major watermain bursts across the county.
Emergency watermain repair works are underway in the Craughwell area where a burst main is leading to disruption in the Craughwell, Caherdine, Caherdevane and Carrigan areas.
Another burst main is causing disruption in the Caherlistrane area.
The major burst has left a significant number of homes and businesses without water.
Those affected include the Kilconly scheme, Ardour scheme, the Shrule Road Headford and the Liss scheme.
Householders in the Ballyfruit area are also impacted.
A third burst main has lead to a lack of supply in the Abbeyknockmoy area.
Householders in the Cuillagh and Annagh Hill areas are affected.
Crews are working on the three separate watermain incidents, and it's hoped water supply will be restored to all areas by this evening.
