Galway Bay fm newsroom - Local TD Michael Fitzmaurice says it's unbelievable struggling householders will now have to pay upfront to have their homes retro-fitted for insulation.

The Business Post reported yesterday the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland is planning to change the rules for funding such work.
The changes would mean the average household could have to pay an average fee up front of 4,000 Euro for work done, and then wait up to six months to be reimbursed.

Independent TD for Galway-Roscommon Michael Fitzmaurice says the proposed changes mean most houses will have to do without insulation this winter.
