Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway West TD is calling for clarity on the timescale for the tendering process for the construction of an ambulance base at Merlin Park Hospital.
In 2014, the ambulance base was temporarily moved to the Merlin Park site to facilitate the construction of a carpark at UHG.
Independent Deputy Catherine Connolly says the essential service is still being provided from inadequate and unsafe buildings.
She argues the staff of 30 are working from containers which are not fit for purpose.

Deputy Connolly says clarity is needed on the planned timeframe for the new premises.
