Task Force to look at tackling "out of control" anti-social behavior in Ballybane

A new Task Force is going to look at how anti-social behavior can be tackled in Ballybane.

A meeting at City Hall has heard Ballybane-native, Councillor Shane Forde, claim it's "completely out of control".

One of the big talking points was repeated incidents of children and young teens throwing stones at cars.

Sinn Fein Councillor Aisling Burke, who lives in Sliabh Bhán, said taxi drivers will not drop her the full way home at night.

Galway City Council is now looking to set up a task force, with community activists, Gardaí and the HSE to be involved.

Fine Gael Councillor Shane Forde was asked by David Nevin on Friday night to put into words just how bad the problem is.
