Galway Bay fm newsroom - The chairperson of Ghlór na Tuaithe is protesting in Clifden this morning where the Taoiseach is due to visit Clifden Community School.
The demonstration is being held in protest against the closure of rural post offices across Connemara.
Leo Varadkar was due to arrive at Clifden community school at 11am, however it's understood his helicopter has been diverted to Inverin due to weather conditions.
It's estimated this will lead to a 40 min delay.
The Taoiseach is set to unveil a plaque at the new school building upon his arrival to Galway.
He will then travel to Inis Meáin to visit Coláiste Naomh Eoin.
