The Taoiseach says there should be communication between the Department of Justice and the residents of Oughterard in relation to possible plans to accommodate asylum seekers at a former hotel outside the town.

Leo Varadkar told the Dail there are good examples in Wicklow and Lisdoonvarna where communities were engaged with by the department.
